Description

Gorno-Altaisk Airport is the non-international airport of federal significance in the Altai Republic, which located 6 kilometers west of the center of the Gorno-Altaisk.

The airport makes a great contribution to the development of the tourism industry of the Altai Republic. Due to the lack of a railway to Gorno-Altaisk, the airport is one of the most important components for ensuring transport accessibility and developing the region's economy and, in particular, the tourist destination.

"Gorno-Altaisk" is a hub airport for Mi-8 helicopters FBU "Avialesookhrana".

Types of permitted aircraft

Cessna 208, An-24, An-26, An-72, An-74, Tu-134, Tu-154, Tu-204, Yak-40, Yak-42, IL-114 , Airbus A319, Airbus A320, ATR 42, ATR 72, Boeing 737, Sukhoi Superjet 100, Il-76, Embraer 170, L-410 and helicopters of all types.


Features

Gorno-Altaisk is the non-international and nonround-the-clock airport. Below the transition echelon, aircraft perform QFE pressure flights. Due to the terrain peculiarities, approach for IFR landing is performed only at Runway 20.

At the aerodrome, ATC is provided only by the ATC body "Dializ Tower", which is charged with the duties of Ground, Tower and Radar, as well as the duty to give a departure clearance.

The treatment with de-icing fluids shall be carried out on stands.

The airfield has one asphalt-concrete runway of 2301×42m with a bearing capacity of PCN 57/F/A/X/T.

The airfield has two asphalt-concrete taxiways: TWY-1 21m wide, TWY-2 15m wide with a bearing capacity of PCN 57/F/A/X/T and PCN 37/F/A/Y/T respectively.

When taxiing on the airfield, the following restrictions should be observed if able:

The aircraft on stand 5 nose south should only be towed. Taxiing with the thrust of own engines.

Taxiing in stands 1 or 1A when one of them is occupied is allowed with own engine thrust only with nose to the north.

Taxiing/departure of aircraft with a wingspan of more than 36 m at the taxiing route section passing from the western side of stand 8 and 9 to/from stand 8 is carried out only with vacant stand 9.

Taxiing/departure of aircraft with a wingspan of more than 29 m is prohibited:

to/from stand 2 along the taxiing route passing between stand 2 and stand 3 when stand 3 is occupied.

on/with MS 3 along the taxiing route between stand 3 and stand 4 when the stand 4 is occupied.

to/from MS 4 along the taxiing route between stand 3 and stand 4 when occupied by stand 3.

on/off stand 6 along the taxiing route between MS stand and M stand 10 with stand 10 occupied.

to/from stand 7 on the section of the taxiing route passing between stand 8 and MS stand 0, to carry out only with a free stand 10.

It is prohibited to taxi in/out aircraft with a wingspan of more than 28 m to/from stand 6 on the taxiing route that passes between stand 5 and stand 6 when stand 5 is occupied.

Prohibited taxiing /departure of aircraft with a wingspan of more than 25 m to / from stand 3 on the taxiing route, passing between stand 2 and stand 3 with occupied stand 2.

Prohibited taxiing /departure of aircraft with a wingspan of more than 23 m to / from stand 5 on the taxi route, passing between stand 4 and stand 5 with occupied stand 4.

It is prohibited to taxi in/out aircraft with a wingspan of more than 22 m to/from stand 4 on the taxiing route between stand 4 and stand 5 with occupied stand 5.

It is prohibited to taxi in/out aircraft with a wingspan of more than 14 m at/without stand 5 along the taxiing route that runs between stand 5 and stand 6 when stand 6 is occupied.

Taxiing by air for helicopters MD-900, R-44 and R-66 along the central taxiing line at minimum speed.

Towing aircraft with working propeller engines is prohibited.

After landing of aircraft index 3-6 on Runway 20, a 180° turn may be performed only at the threshold of Runway 02, using the extension.

Taxiing of aircraft of index 3-6 along the runway should be performed at reduced speed strictly along the taxiing axis.

Types of approaches:

RUNWAY 02: Visual, VFR.

RUNWAY 20: ILS (CAT 1), NDB.

Standard Instrumental Departures (SID):

RUNWAY 02: 02U. (NON RNAV)

RUNWAY 20: 20U. (NON RNAV)

Standard Instrumental Terminal Arrival Routes (STAR):

RUNWAY 02: none.

RUNWAY 20: 20C, 20R* (via GO). (NON RNAV)
