Description

D.I. Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk International Airport is a major airport in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, 27 kilometres (17 miles) northwest of Krasnoyarsk. As of December 2017, it was the 14th biggest in Russia in passenger traffic.

Regular and charter passenger transportation from Krasnoyarsk airport is carried out by more than 20 airlines to more than 60 destinations.

Krasnoyarsk International Airport is a hub for many Russian air carriers due to its advantageous location.

Krasnoyarsk is also has the tallest ATC Tower in Russia - its height is about 63 meters.

Maximum throughput: 24 take-off/landings per hour (subject to change due to new taxiway).

Squawk codes: ICAO EUR-G - 5320-5377, 5430-5437.

Features

In addition, the grand opening of the main taxiway droshky took place in September 2021. Please note that it is not available in all scenery.

The taxiway is located along (parallel to) the runway and provides aircraft taxiing from one end of the runway to the parking lots, without interfering with other aircraft during takeoffs and landings. This, in turn, increases the capacity of Krasnoyarsk airport by 2 times.

Taxiing on taxiway "D" of aircraft of type B747(-400, -8F, -800), AN-124 is prohibited.

Taxiing to stands 4, 4A, 4B, 5 is allowed for aircraft with a wingspan of no more than 36m.

Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo's location is an unusual case, as the airfield is located right next to a smaller airfield, Cheremshanka. The reason this is unusual and slightly problematic is that since Cheremshanka is right next to the airfield, it can be easily confused as being Yemelyanovo, and what adds to the location issue is the fact that both airfields share their runway bearings - 11/29 - with each other. This, as a result, makes the two airports look like one, which is especially problematic as the only way to distinguish the two is the runway lengths - Cheremshanka has a shorter runway than Yemelyanovo - and the fact that no taxiway connects the two airfields.
