Omsk is a large city in the West Siberian region of the Russian Federation, the westernmost of the large Siberian cities. It is located on the Irtysh River (a tributary of the Ob River), at the confluence of the Om River. The administrative center of the Omsk region, bordering in the west and north with the Tyumen region, in the east - with the Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions of the Russian Federation, in the south and southwest - with the Republic of Kazakhstan. The territory of the city is 572.9 sq. km.
