UOTT / THX

Description

Turukhansk Airport is an airport in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, located 2 km west of Turukhansk, a village that has lost the status of a city. Used for local communication. It is the only means of communication with the "Mainland" during the spring and autumn thaw due to the lack of roads and railways and the cessation of navigation on the Yenisei during the ice drift.

In the autumn of 2014, a new airport building was put into operation in Turukhansk. The airport is capable of receiving AN-12, AN-24/26, AN-28, AN-30/32, AN-72/74, Yak-40, ATR 42 and other types of 3-4 class aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to 36 tons, as well as helicopters of all types. Currently, the airport is served by regular flights to Krasnoyarsk by the airline "Nordstar".
