Description

Ulan-Ude Airport is an intra-Russian hub airport of federal significance, has the status of an international one. The airport is located in close proximity to Lake Baikal, a World Heritage site.

Ulan-Ude Airport is a developed air transport hub in the center of aviation routes connecting the European part of Russia with Siberia, the Far East and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The airport provides air communication between the city of Ulan-Ude (the capital of the Republic of Buryatia) and the Republic of Buryatia with other regions of the Russian Federation. The airport has been operating since 1926 and has exceptional flight safety statistics. Baikal Airport has all the technical capabilities to receive Russian and international aircraft: a 3000-meter runway, lighting equipment (OVI-1), all the necessary infrastructure, aeronautical and meteorological equipment, a large terminal, trained personnel, certificate of conformity for the implementation of airport activities.
