VATRUS and VATJPN invite pilots to a joint international VATSIM event connecting the Russian Far East and Japan. On 18 July 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 UTC, we will open the skies between Vladivostok (UHWW) and Tokyo Haneda (RJTT).
Why Tiger Meets Crane? The Amur Tiger is one of the most iconic symbols of the Russian Far East and Primorsky Krai, representing strength, wilderness, and the unique spirit of the region. The Japanese Crane is a graceful and meaningful symbol of Japan, associated with beauty, harmony, and good fortune.
In this event, the Tiger and the Crane meet not on the ground, but in the sky — connecting two countries, two aviation communities, and one shared passion for virtual aviation. Pilots are welcome to fly in both directions between Vladivostok and Tokyo, enjoying international coordination, live ATC coverage, and a scenic route across the Sea of Japan.
From the bridges and coastline of Vladivostok to the skyline of Tokyo, Mount Fuji, and Tokyo Tower, this route offers a beautiful and atmospheric connection between Russia and Japan.
Prepare your aircraft, choose your direction, and join us for an evening of international flying across Northeast Asia.
