Description

Airport "Kogalym" is a civil airport in the city of Kogalym. Located 6.5 km south of the city of Kogalym, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. It had international status until 2011.

The airfield complex has a reinforced concrete runway, 13 parking areas for B757, B737 / A320 and other lighter aircraft, as well as for helicopters of all types. The airfield can also receive cargo planes An-124 and Il-76.

The main activities of the airport are servicing passengers arriving to work on a rotational basis, as well as the transportation of goods for the needs of oil workers. The airport operates regular flights to Moscow (Vnukovo) and Ufa, as well as charter flights for shift workers. Helicopter service is established mainly with remote places where workers are staying, which cannot be reached by other means of transport.
