The development of Barnaul Airport begins on October 27, 1937, when an air division was created in Barnaul, the capital of the newly formed Altai Territory — the aviation unit of Po-2 aircraft.
On May 27, 2010, at the session of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly, a resolution was adopted on the assignment of the Barnaul airport named after Herman Stepanovich Titov.
Currently, the structure of JSC "Altai Aviation Enterprise" includes Barnaul Airport: a runway, an air terminal, a hotel, a fuel and lubricants service, a complex of buildings and structures for technical purposes - as a single airport complex.
The German Stepanovich Titov Barnaul International Airport operates around the clock and accepts passenger and cargo aircraft of both domestic and foreign production: An-12,-24,-26,-28,-30,-32,-72,-74, -124, -148, IL—18,-62,-76,-86, -96, TU-134,-154,-204,-214, Yak-40,-42, A-310,-319,-320, -321, B-737,-747,-757,-767, CRJ-100/200, ATR-42, -72, Bae-125 and SUN cl. below, helicopters of all types.
JSC "Altai Air Enterprise" is engaged in the organization of any charter passenger and cargo flights, processing and sending cargo in various directions, sale of air, car and railway tickets to all directions, wholesale and retail sale of fuel and lubricants.

Barnaul Airport uses meters and pressure QFE (QNH and meters). The Transition Level is 50.
Barnaul airport has the only Barnaul-Tower (Barnaul-Tower). Barnaul-Tower includes taxiing, towers, radars. Vertical boundaries: from ground to FL190 according to horizontal boundaries.
At the end of runway 06 there is a safety zone (in front of the end). In the security zone, it is allowed to exercise executive, as well as taxiing. Boarding is prohibited.
