Cheboksary Airport is an international airport of federal significance in the city of the same name, the capital of the Chuvash Republic. Until 2016, it served as the base airport of the Chuvashia Airlines company. It is the largest airport in the republic, providing regular passenger transportation with the central regions of Russia, as well as southern regions and resorts (seasonally).
Cheboksary Airport has a very well-developed infrastructure component. This is primarily due to the fact that in addition to domestic flights, the airport also serves international flights. The airfield complex allows the airport to receive aircraft of 2, 3 and 4 classes, in particular, we are talking about AN-26, AN-72, IL-76, L-410, Tu-154, Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and lighter aircraft, and the airport is also capable of receiving all types of helicopters.
